I joined Scott Horton’s YouTube channel to discuss my latest article.
The first 16 minutes of this interview are mostly chitchat, and I’m a bit nervous and stumbling with my words early on. I’m still getting my reps in with public speaking, so thanks for bearing with me. I did at least finally upgrade to a proper professional microphone instead of relying on broken AirPods, which is progress.
Around the 16-minute mark we move past the small talk and into the substance of the article. Once the discussion gets going, I hit my stride and we end up having a genuinely engaging conversation about Venezuela, empire, interventionism, and the political economy of sanctions and regime change.
If you’re inclined to watch, I’d recommend starting at 16:00.

Enjoyed your interview and perspectives on Scott's show!
My two, experienced cents for what it’s worth…I think you did just fine. Being on camera is nerve wracking even if you aren’t speaking and most people are not naturals on camera right out of the gate. It takes practice and don’t over think it. You are a great researcher and know what you are talking about which is really half the battle.
