professional update

Apologies for the quiet stretch here over the past few months. I’ve managed to put out a few articles this fall/winter, but have mostly been offline for good reasons — wedding planning, getting married, and honeymoon — while continuing to work behind the scenes on several longer-term projects.

Marriage has been grounding in the best way. It’s sharpened my perspective, steadied my priorities, and I expect it to show up in more mature, focused writing going forward. This feels like a transition into the next phase.

That shift is reflected in a branding move you may have noticed, away from Karlstack to www.ChrisBrunet.com. This is a move away from a persona- or pseudonym-based project and toward work that’s more durable, accountable, and aligned with where I’m headed long-term.

I’m grateful for each of my 13,000 subscribers and for the steady, organic growth this community has shown over time. This chart reflects years of consistent interest, engagement, and trust, as well as years of disciplined work refining my writing, starting from scratch in 2022, and raising my standards and credibility as a journalist. We’ve come a long way together. The best is yet to come.
