Excellent news, that is, assuming it's true. Christopher, your dedication and hard work played a key role in all this. I have decided to honor your work by taking out a paid subscription to your substack.

Well, you blocked me. Are you a fed?

Stand by the Nazi (or fed in Nazi drag).

Its a free country.

And please, your shadowing me is getting kinda "ick"

Please recenter yourself away from a man who blocked you

For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations.

She likely has no credentials, and probably faked her way through every degree and position because of diversity. This was one of the biggest failures I've seen, but they're not limited to just Harvard. Lots of diversity hires with no knowledge or lack of understanding of their job. Even the corporate DEI C-level executives.

SCA's avatar

She comes from an extremely privileged background. Indomitable-Against-All-Odds-Heroic-Black-Woman she ain't.

SCA's avatar

This is a cycle of history, not some grim relentless march forward.

The Western enlightenment wasn't the permanent enlightenment of the human mind. It was the reawakening of concepts that had been explicated by the ancient Greeks and Romans and then crushed by the religious wars of the dark and middle ages.

But religious wars have a way of breakin' out all over again. The progressive religion is like any other. It brooks no dissent and as always throughout human history, people of courage and intellectual independence must risk losing everything to fight against the latest orthodoxy.

The Ivies were founded as Christian institutions and the Western enlightenment brought a lot of enlightening. Now we've got a new Inquisition.

It's up to people of good heart and rational thinking and a respect for different views within a common institution to make this current illiberality end.

And her first cousin is the insufferable NYT columnist, Roxanne Gay.

SCA's avatar

Much as I despise Roxane, I will acknowledge that she is so painfully pathetic that she is sort of her own punishment.

Yes, I know who and what she is.

But some people here might not have ever heard of her.

Feminist firmware poking through here. Simple statements of fact are countered with the chip-on-the-shoulder "I knew that (what made you think I didnt)"

Its covert narcissisism; while performing inanities for the readers, pretending it never occurred to you that there are other humans reading. And no dear, no one said you didnt know.

Once we learn to recognize these NPC personality traits, the less we take seriously those who have them.

I believe that Ms Gay is actually quite bright and intelligent. She recognized a path to the elite ranks in the academic world, and exploited it. She did apparently choose a less rigorous definition of scholarship, but this was most likely known to her instructors/professors/thesis advisor and review committee. If she “faked her way” through so many levels, using what is now offered as a “ cheat code” of DEI, she certainly did this with aptitude and skill. She understood the game, it’s evolving rules and played to win.

SCA's avatar

She is the daughter of those in the elite ranks. Her life from start to present has been privileged.

It should be noted that Harvard not only had anti Jewish quotas but also welcomed Nazis to its campuses and refused to condemn anti Semitism in a Germany in the 1930s long before DIE was revealed to be anti American anti merit and anti Semitic at its core

This would be a great victory if she resigned or was terminated for cause and any litigation would demonstrate in discovery her lack of qualifications .It appears that Obama and his allies may not have been able to save her job .

How about Columbia which is also a cesspool of anti Semitism? When will it’s president be confronted on these issues and the anti Semites in its faculty?

SCA's avatar

Let this drag out in the courts and in the news. We cannot hope that this will actually destroy the reputations of everyone involved since they always provide soft landings for one another during temporary states of embarrassment, but at least we can enjoy.

Dale Flowers's avatar

I can let schadenfreude take 2nd place if this helps in the cleansing. But I just don't see Harvard doing the right thing or quit digging the hole deeper. The shame they must sense in the offing has to have them terrified. Assuming they have souls.

SCA's avatar

There will be no cleansing.

But we can hope that for the upcoming generation of college-ready kids, perhaps some of the smarter ones will look at their better state schools and thereby mix with a better class of people.

(I was startled to discover that the Ivies can be cheaper than state schools, even with an advantage of in-state tuition, because room and board aren't covered. Costs related to college are truly byzantine to navigate.)

Steve Edwards's avatar

I read somewhere that the four justices in the Colorado Supreme Court that voted to remove Trump from the ballot were Ivy Leaguers; the three who voted against went to state schools.

SCA's avatar

This would not be surprising.

And it's interesting, isn't it, that no one lost their reputation for defending OJ Simpson but defending Trump is the death of a legal career.

Imagine Ackman Obama and Pritzker being deposed among others! Which lawyer or anyone interested would not want to be a fly on the wall for those depositions!

SCA's avatar

Sure. But these people are unshameable in their own circles. What we think means nothing to them.

For the future of our society we may hope the bloom is fading from the rose of the exclusive institutions. Many extremely successful people hold degrees from good state schools. That's a fact to spread around liberally, I think.

The NYC/Chicago Jewish vs Black woke wars are now engaged on a national scale.

Steven Brizel's avatar

This war started with the 1968 teachers strike whose opponents rhetoric was filled with anti Semitic and DIE like ideas

lkulkgufgdlkusdghflsdfukh's avatar

Yes. None of this is new. Whats different now is the Soros money, and a little more momentum once they got the blantant Marxism more firmly into the K-12 curriculum.

Regarding your first paragraph: Last I checked Antonio Gramsci and Benedetto Croce werent Jewish, and were in fact antisemitic, Franz Fanon was black, , etc. I can go on like this for many many cases....

Second paragraph: this is all true AND it is not a "Jewish movement", it is a deranged movement.

Theres a strong Jewish presence in the woke movement as there is also a strong black presence in the movement, and a strong female presence in the movement, that is to say these groups are over represented compared to their total percentages in the population. That is very different from saying it solely these groups; how could it solely be several mutually exclusive groups? It is also typical wokist, bigoted logic recalling the formulations of feminism; if rapists are largely men, men are largely rapists, and this can be signified with the simple formula "Men are rapists" just as you might say "Wokies are Jewish!".

Its reductive, simplistic non- "sensemaking" and provides as little explanatory power as it does a path forward.

Couldn't happen soon enough. Columbia's diversity hire, newly appointed as president in July, is an Egyptian born woman, Minoche Shafik.

SCA's avatar

That detail alone does not make her poisonous. Normal sensible intelligent people can be born anywhere.

Tracy Sterling Richardson's avatar

I was actually responding to Steve's comment, "How about Columbia which is also a cesspool of anti Semitism? When will it’s president be confronted on these issues and the anti Semites in its faculty?"

I don't know whether or not you've been following the turmoil at Columbia but here's an email I sent in early November to the presidents of Barnard College and Columbia University:

Please delete my name and address from your alumnae files.

Almost 50 years ago, I graduated from Barnard College. Up to the present time, I've been grateful for the education I received and proud of the degree I earned. However, I'm appalled by the October 30th letter, as reported in the New York Times. This letter, signed by over 100 faculty members of Barnard and Columbia, defended students who blamed Israel for Hamas’s barbaric slaughter of over 1,400 women, children, infants, and men.

The outrage I feel leads me to sever my relationship with Barnard. I regret I ever attended a college whose faculty now spews the hatred of Jews and promotes their eradication from Israel and the rest of the world. I now view my time at Barnard as a grave mistake, a blot on my life experience. And I will do my best to actively discourage today's young women from even considering Barnard.

I'm certain hundreds, if not thousands, of other alumnae feel the way I do, regardless of whether or not they contact your office. In short, you have a public relations nightmare on your hands.

Thank you for your attention.

Perhaps people ought to have been objecting some years ago when everyone was being exhorted to be "good allies." Obedient helpers of the noble oppressed.

Ain't there a hell of an irony in Randi Weingarten, wife of a progressive female rabbi, being head of a teachers' union so utterly riddled with Jew-hatred?

It didn't take a deck of tarot cards to predict what was going to be coming from all this intersectionality starting from pre-school upward.

Steven Brizel's avatar

Weingarten cares only about her union members privileges and has no empathy for parents or students

SCA's avatar

She is a vicious moron. Bad traits for teachers and those who represent them.

Tracy Sterling Richardson's avatar

Until 10/7, I focused almost all my attention on opposing the dangerous "transgender" movement.
